Telehealth Payment Parity Update

Audience: All Participating Providers

With the pandemic still a reality in our day-to-day lives, we want our members to have the peace of mind that comes from knowing they can still receive care in the comfort and safety of their homes through the use of telehealth technology.

We also know how important it is to ensure the viability of providing appropriate medical services via telehealth, while also preserving access to medical and behavioral health services.

As part of our sustained commitment to you and our members, we will continue to reimburse all covered telehealth services at the same rate as the corresponding face-to-face rates until further notice.

Please note that we will follow the coverage guidelines set forth by the New York State Department of Health and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services related to temporary coverage of telehealth services/codes added as a contingency during the pandemic.

If you have any questions, please contact your Provider Relations representative.
