We now use two-factor authentication to help improve the security of your provider information online. When you want to log in to ExcellusBCBS.com using a new device, you’ll need to provide two types of information—your password and the one-time verification code that’s sent to your email address that we have on file. You can choose to remember your device, so you won’t be asked for a verification code the next time you log in from that device.
There are several reasons why we might ask you to reconfirm your identity:
- You’re on a new device or one you haven’t trusted with us before
- You’re browsing in private or incognito mode
- You’re using a different browser from the one you used to log in last time
- You recently cleared your browser’s cookies
The email you have associated with your account will still be connected. Please enter it here again for our records to ensure accuracy. You can also enter another email address to have on file.
If you are already with one of our accounts or subsidiary accounts with our health plan, you will have to use a different email to register.
As a possible solution, you may be able to use email sub-addressing to create a unique email. Email sub-addressing, also known as plug sign (+) trick, is popularized by Gmail and supported by most email providers. It allows creating a new email address by simply appending the plus sign (+) to your current email address and allow successful email delivery to the same inbox.
For example, if your email address is name@email.com, you can quickly create a new email address like name+we_username@email.com. Be sure to test and check with your IT administrator to ensure this is supported by your email provider and company prior to registering.
